Tiling directly onto a floor or wall is sometimes not the best solution. This could be because the surface is uneven or unstable, contact noise has to be prevented, or the system must be waterproof. An uncoupling mat for floor tiles or wall tiles can help with these issues and give you the right finish with no further problems.

In case of cracks due to drying or shrinkage

At Omnicol you will find uncoupling mats that form the perfect system with your tiling. For example, if the substrate suffers from cracking due to drying or shrinkage, or if there is floor/wall heating, floor/wall cooling, or even sun heat. The uncoupling mat ensures that the subsurface will not transfers tensions, movements, and vibrations to the tiling or vice versa. With less than a millimeter thickness, our uncoupling mat is always the safe choice.

Decoupling mat gives added properties.

An uncoupling mat always adds properties to the floor and wall structure. The sound-absorbing decoupling mat for under tiles dampens the sound in underlying rooms up to 16 dB. This mat of only 4 mm thickness can also be used to decouple working surfaces, so you get two benefits in one.

Finally, we have a waterproof flexible moisture sealing mat for you. Suitable for wet areas with moisture-sensitive surfaces such as plaster blocks, plasterboard, or even plaster. With its 0.4 mm thickness, it is very resistant to soap and other similar (chemical) products.
